Many people make the mistake of viewing recovery as a task they must check off their to-do lists, but that’s not the right way to look at it. Instead, recovery is a journey by which an individual who suffers from a substance abuse problem is able to achieve sobriety while learning skills that will help him or her to maintain a lifestyle of lasting recovery. And for many individuals, that recovery journey begins with riding all the toxic substances from the body at a drug & alcohol detoxification program.
